The design of buildings and spaces has a huge impact on our lives. Climate change, affordable housing, sustainable urbanization, future of work: all of these challenges will require us to design a better and more efficient built environment.

We believe the architecture, engineering, and construction industry is undergoing a profound transformation driven by real-time collaboration, cloud-native workflows, and AI. Our mission is to build the software design platform powering this new era.

We are looking for a Chief of Staff to work directly with the CEO on the operational and strategic backbone of the company. This is a highly cross-functional role at the center of Rayon’s growth.

As Chief of Staff, you will own and coordinate many of the company’s core G&A functions: finance, HR, recruiting coordination, accounting, investor operations, internal processes, offsites, and board preparation. You will also act as a strategic partner to the founders, helping drive key initiatives across the company.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn every aspect of running a startup — from fundraising and hiring to company operations and strategic execution.

• We are a small team of 27 people passionate about web technology, architecture, and the built environment. First and foremost, we love building amazing tools for creators.
• Rayon was co-founded in October 2021 by Bastien Dolla, an engineer (Polytechnique & Ponts et Chaussées) with 15 years of experience in tech and real estate, and Stanislas Chaillou, an engineer and an architect (EPFL & Harvard) with a background in ML research applied to architecture.
• Rayon is backed by world-class Investors (Northzone, Foundamental, Seedcamp, 20VC, Kima) and amazing business Angels such as Ralph Gootee, co-founder of plangrid (acq. by Autodesk), Joe Thomas co-founder and CEO of Loom , the architect Norman Foster (Foster+Partners), Rasmus Andersson (ex-Spotify, ex-Meta), Thibaud Elziere founder of eFounders, Nicolas Steegmann co-founder of Stupeflix, Riggs Kubiak founder of Honest buildings (acq. What you will be doing?

As Chief of Staff at Rayon, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks:

• Work directly with the founders on company strategy and execution
• Help structure and scale the operational foundations of the company
• Coordinate finance and accounting operations with external partners
• Track budgets, reporting, invoices, cash management, and internal financial processes
• Prepare board materials, investor updates, fundraising documentation, and strategic analyses
• Coordinate HR and recruiting processes, onboarding, and internal policies
